Words for Good is excited to work with Trilogy Health Services, LLC (Trilogy). Trilogy operates 70 senior health communities throughout Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan, offering independent and assisted living as well as skilled nursing and rehabilitative services. As an innovative leader in its field, Trilogy is currently piloting a telemedicine program in five of its facilities using VGo – a robot with two-way video-communications capabilities. VGo is a web-based resource enabling physicians to conduct detailed patient consults in a distant location without having to physically be there. In addition to physician visits, specialists such as pharmacists, nutritionists and psychiatrists can use VGo to consult with patients and their direct caregivers. VGo is a light-weight, motorized, remote-controlled platform with a camera, microphones, and video display. Its portability allows patients to use it in a variety of medical settings. VGo is also very user friendly for health care professionals, as they can access VGo from any device with internet capability (i.e. iPad, iPhone and personal computers). In Trilogy’s case, VGo empowers disabled and elderly residents to live more independently, allowing them to visit family members and communicate easily with members of their health care team.
