The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has announced the availability of $3 million for veteran transportation services in highly rural areas. Funding will support innovative activities to transport veterans in highly rural areas to VA Medical Centers.

Veteran service organizations and state veteran service agencies are eligible to apply. The VA anticipates awarding 20 awards of up $50,000 each. Applications are due on May 27, 2014.
