The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (ASH) has updated the funding availability for its Office of Research Integrity (ORI) Extramural Research Grants. The ORI acts as a governmental watchdog over research related to identifying sustainable solutions for social and environmental issues that are then incorporated into policy analysis regarding education, healthcare, and various other fields that are critical in supporting the US economy. Funding for this nitiative has been expanded to support research being done by (1) public and state controlled institutions of higher education, (2) faith-based or community-based organizations, (3) regional organizations, and (4) foreign entities that have an established partnership with a domestic organization in the US. Four (4) recipients will receive awards ranging from $200,000-$300,000 in maximum annual funding. Subsequent financial support will depend upon the successful completion of the first budget period, in addition to the availability of ORI program funds.
