The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) released a Funding Opportunity Announcement for its Telehealth Network Grant Program (TNGP). The program’s purpose is to demonstrate how telehealth networks are used to: (a) expand access to, coordinate, and improve the quality of health care services; (b) improve and expand the training of health care providers; and/or (c) expand and improve the quality of health information available to health care providers, and patients and their families, for decision-making. This year’s opportunity particularly encourages telehealth services delivered through school-based health centers and clinics, especially those serving high-poverty populations.
HRSA anticipates making up to 20 grant awards of up to $300,000 per year for the four-year program period beginning September 1, 2016. Applications are due April 8, 2016.
