Summer Youth Program Fund

The Summer Youth Program Fund (SYPF) – Indianapolis is accepting applications to support 2013 summer programming for Marion County youth. SYPF is a collaborative effort among local and national funders who support organizations that provide summer programming for Marion County youth. In 2012, more than $2.3 million was awarded to 177 programs. The Fund supports academic enrichment, college readiness, personal growth and leadership development, arts and culture, recreation and sports, employment and job readiness, reading and literacy, community service, and programs for youth with disabilities. Priority is given to programs serving disadvantaged youth from neighborhoods in Marion county with limited access to organized activities, as well as youth with disabilities or special health needs. In addition to an application for programmatic support, there is a separate Special Projects Grant opportunity supported by the Lilly Endowment for capital projects and equipment (up to $25,000 each for 15-20 grantees). Both applications are due December 7, 2012.
