Words for Good congratulates Stopover, Inc. on receiving a $191,312 Basic Center Program grant from the federal Administration on Children Youth and Families’ Family and Youth Services Bureau. Stopover engaged Words for Good in June 2012 to prepare the application resulting in this award. The three year grant, totaling $573,936, enables Stopover to continue to provide a safe alternative for runaway and homeless youth, including emergency shelter, food, clothing, counseling, and referrals for health care. In addition to meeting basic needs, the program helps build skills and capacities that contribute to the healthy, positive and productive functioning of youth into adulthood.
