The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) recently announced its State Offices of Rural Health Grant Program opportunity which is designed to aid States in delivering quality rural health care. Funding is not intended to provide health care services, but rather to help states build a framework that links rural communities with State and Federal resources in order to develop long-term solutions to rural health problems. HRSA anticipates using approximately $9 million to award fifty grants ranging from $150,000 to $200,000 over a three-year project period. The program requires a non-federal funding match of at least $3 for each $1 of federal funds. Applications are due May 13, 2013. A link to the full Funding Opportunity Announcement can be found here.
