Sickle Cell Disease Treatment Demonstration Regional Collaboratives Program

The purpose of HRSA’s Sickle Cell Disease Treatment Demonstration Regional Collaboratives Program opportunity is to create Regional Coordinating Centers (RCC) to provide leadership and support for regional and statewide activities related to improving the prevention and treatment of Sickle Cell Disease. Key focus areas include increasing the number of providers treating individuals with sickle cell disease and increasing access to evidence-based sickle cell care, with a focus on telemedicine, individual and family engagement, adolescent-to-adult transitions, and medical home-based care. HRSA anticipates making only five awards with annual amounts ranging from $357,000 to $1,072,500 based on geographic region. Applications are due January 13, 2017.
