Premier Announces Funding for Innovative Programs for the Underserved

Applications are now open for the 2014 Monroe E. Trout Premier Cares Award. The $100,000 award is made each year to an organization for a two-year, innovative project to improve access to health care for the underserved — including homeless individuals, low-income mothers and infants, farm workers, and pregnant teens, among others. An additional $24,000 is available for each of five finalists. A listing of prior winners can be found here.

Both public and private non-profit entities are eligible to apply. Applications are due by July 31, 2014.
