The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) recently launched a new grant opportunity for new and unlikely investigators who might not be ready for a full-blown comparative research study. The “Pipeline to Proposals” opportunity will provide seed money for individuals and groups in 13 western states (think west of the Plains) with limited research experience. The best part? You can work with PCORI to design your research topic and get help along the way to see it to fruition. Don’t be intimidated. The first deadline is December 2, 2013; deadlines for other areas of the country should be announced in early 2014.
