The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is preparing to release guidelines for its Fall 2014 funding cycle on August 6th. Those who have pursued PCORI in previous cycles will notice several significant changes, most significantly that the letter of intent (LOI) process is now competitive. That means that–gulp–applicants must do more of the heavy lifting on the front-end to be invited to submit a full proposal. The LOI deadline for the Fall Cycle is September 5th. Stay tuned for more PCORI updates after the new guidelines are released in early August.
On a separate note, PCORI recently announced an opportunity to apply for support for symposia, workshops, and other events focused on patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research. Up to $250,000 is available for theseĀ Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Awards.
