Words for Good had the privilege of partnering with Passport Health Plan and its writing team earlier this year to prepare an application to the Commonwealth of Kentucky for Medicaid managed care services. Passport was one of three managed care organizations selected by the Commonwealth earlier this week. Consistently ranked as one of the top 25 Medicaid health plans in the country, Passport currently serves over 120,000 members in in the Louisville area. The new contract will enable Passport to expand services to the entire state to reach the more than 300,000 individuals in Kentucky who will be newly eligible for Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act’s expansion on January 1, 2014.
