The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has opened its Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP) opportunity. HRSA expects to make 90 formula-based awards to public and private nonprofit accredited schools of nursing that offer nurse educator courses in their advanced education nursing degree programs. The purpose of NFLP is to grow the number of nurses qualified to serve as faculty and help promote an expanded nursing workforce. NFLP awards are used to help institutions create or maintain loan programs for nurses who attain full-time faculty positions. The full amount of funding available is dependent upon enactment of the final FY 2017 Federal budget. Applications are due November 14, 2016.
