NSF Announces Funding for Advancing Informal STEM Learning
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has announced the availability of $32 million for the Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) Program.
The opportunity seeks to advance new approaches to and an evidence-based understanding of STEM learning in informal environments. Projects will be funded in six areas: 1) Pathways, 2) Research in Service to Practice, 3) Innovations in Development, 4) Broad Implementation, 5) Conferences, Symposia, and Workshops, and 6) Science Learning+ Proposals.
NSF anticipates making as many as 51 awards of up to $3 million each. Award ceilings and periods vary by research area. Science Learning+ Proposals are due by July 10, 2014. All other AISL applications are due by November 14, 2014.
