The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has announced the availability of up to $15 million for Transformative Research Awards. Transformative Research Awards support groundbreaking, exceptionally innovative, and original and unconventional research that has the potential to have a major impact in a broad area of biomedical or behavioral research.

Awards will be limited to five years. The total number of awards will depend on the size and scope of successful applications. Letters of Intent (LOIs) are due by September 10, 2014 with applications due by October 10, 2014.
