New NIH Biosketch Format and Peer Review Process
New NIH Biosketch Format and Peer Review Process

National Institutes of Health is piloting a new biosketch format intended to emphasize researchers’ accomplishments rather than just their publications. The new format allows researchers to describe up to five of their most significant contributions to science and increases the biosketch page limit from four to five pages. In addition, NIH has launched an initiative to address disparities in R01 grant funding and maximize fairness in NIH peer review. Testing of new methods and strategies will take place over the next year. Stay tuned to Words for Good for updates as they become available!
