WFG is excited to announce that we are growing and strengthening our team of health care experts and grant writers with the addition of Mandy Pellegrin!
Mandy has over eight years of federal health policy experience, including terms as a Presidential Management Fellow within the Secretary’s Budget Office at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and as the principal health policy advisor to a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and its Subcommittee on Health during the drafting, consideration, and passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA).
Mandy brings a wealth of experience in federal health care policy and relationship-building, with specialized work on issues as diverse as health care reform, Medicare payment policy, traumatic brain injury, the mental health and substance abuse safety net, and the nation’s public health infrastructure, among others.
Mandy holds an Master of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University, where she focused on health policy. She grew up in Tennessee and is an avid crafter and do-it-yourselfer. After spending the last eight years in Washington, DC, Mandy now shares a home in Nashville with her husband Michael and their cat Pete.
As Policy Analyst and Health Care Writer at WFG, Mandy will be responsible for:
- Grant writing on behalf of state agencies and health systems/hospitals to federal agencies and independent agencies, such as RWJF and PCORI
- Consulting to health systems and community-based nonprofits related to the ACA
- Consulting to primary care practices seeking NCQA PCMH recognition.
