The HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) announced a new funding opportunity to establish integrated, collaborative local, state, regional, or tribal partnerships to increase community awareness and action on preventive health services: Mobilization for Health: National Prevention Partnership Awards Program.
The opportunity is comprised of two components, both for the same purpose. The first is for one-year awards of $50,000 to $75,000 to as many as 20 awardees, and the second is for three-year awards of up to $500,000 to as many as 15 awardees. Eligible entities include any public or private entity – including community- and faith-based organization, research and academic organization, state and local health departments, and Tribes – who enter into at least three partnerships.
OASH anticipates awarding up to a total of $7.7 million to 35 awardees. Submissions are due March 3, 2014.
