On May 8, 2012, the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation announced the first set of awardees for the Health Care Innovation Challenge.  After reviewing thousands of applications, representing over ten thousand organizations that covered every State and U.S. territory, the Center selected 26 projects to fund.  Awards range from $1 million to $30 million for a three-year period.  It is anticipated that the next batch of awards will be announced in early June 2012.  Click here for a description of the initial 26 organizations and projects funded.
