The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will be allocating $2,250,000 amongst 15 beneficiaries capable of transforming their community based primary care residency programs into teaching health centers (THCs) that educate resident physicians about the importance of practicing medicine in underserved communities following graduation. Due to the fact that this funding opportunity is a continuation of HHS’ 2013 Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education (THCGME) program, new applicants, as well as existing awardees, are invited to apply.
