The largest chapter nationwide, Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana hosts several events each year, including the upcoming 8th annual Indianapolis Walk for Wishes, beginning at 9:00 am on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Fort Harrison State Park. With a $100,000 goal, funds raised from this 1-3 mile walk will go towards making dreams a reality for children diagnosed with life threatening conditions. This year’s walk will feature Malakai, a four year-old battling liver disease, who recently returned from Walt Disney World®, where he met his favorite character, Mickey Mouse. Currently, there are more than 200 children in Indiana like Malakai who are waiting for their wish to come true.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is committed to its belief that these wish experiences can be a game-changer – empowering lives, to make miracles happen for those that need them the most.
