Federal Grants for Teen Pregnancy Prevention

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)’ Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health has issued a series of grant opportunities related to teen pregnancy prevention. This includes the following:  Capacity Building to Support Replication of Evidence-Based TPP Programs (Tier 1 A), due April 1st; Replicating Evidence-Based Teen Pregnancy Prevention Programs to Scale in Communities with the Greatest Need (Tier 1B), due April 1st; Supporting and Enabling Early Innovation to Advance Adolescent Health and Prevent Teen Pregnancy (Tier 2A), due April 10th; and Rigorous Evaluation of New or Innovative Approaches to Prevent Teen Pregnancy (Tier 2B), due April 10th. Eligibility is relatively broad for each mechanism, but the competition will be steep and programs must be aligned with evidence-based practices.
