Community Health Network Foundation–the philanthropic arm of Community Health Network–has been awarded several major grants this fall. Through its partnership with Words for Good, the Foundation received a nearly $3.7 million federal grant to prevent youth suicides throughout Indiana, followed by a $99,340 grant from The Glick Fund for targeted suicide prevention strategies in 20 middle and high schools in Indianapolis’ east side. In addition, the Foundation recently received a $50,000 grant from New York Life Foundation to expand the Network’s school-based youth bereavement services and provide in-home support for children of families served by hospice caregivers and a $25,000 grant from the Verizon Foundation to accelerate a pilot program for chronic disease management through mobile technology. **If you are concerned someone you know is contemplating suicide, call Community Health Network’s crisis hotline at 800-662-3445.**
