Community Health Network and Wishard-Eskenazi Health Announce “Patient Health Partnership”

On February 18, 2013 Community Health Network and Wishard-Eskenazi Health announced a landmark partnership that will serve as a national model for increasing access to quality healthcare, especially for underserved populations who will need and seek care due to impending healthcare reform. The new agreement, “Patient Health Partnership,” is neither an acquisition nor a merger. Rather, it is a public-private nonprofit partnership that will allow each health system to optimize the continuum of care for all patients by sharing their respective strengths. The initiative, propelled by the innovative efforts of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County, aligns management of all central Indiana Community Health Network and Wishard-Eskenazi Health facilities and gives more than 52,000 Wishard Health Advantage members access to both systems’ sites of care. For more information, click here.
