The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) has announced the availability of $3.8 million in support of the Volunteer Generation Fund. The Fund was created by the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act of 2009, and supports approaches to expand volunteering, strengthen the capacity of volunteer connector organizations to recruit and retain skill-based volunteers, and develop strategies to effectively use volunteers to solve problems.
Eligibility is limited to State Commissions on National and Community Service. Technical assistance calls will take place on June 11th and 26th. Notices of intent to apply are due by June 20, 2014, and applications are due by July 8, 2014.
