CDC Announces Funding for Breast Cancer Awareness
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced the availability of up to $9 million for approaches to increase awareness and support among young women diagnosed with breast cancer. The program will fund two components, including the development of a strategic and integrated marketing approach to disseminating health message to young women diagnosed with breast cancer and the provision of support services from diagnosis through post-treatment.
Virtually all entities are eligible to apply. CDC anticipates making up to 7 five-year awards of up to $550,000 each. Applications are due by July 1, 2014.
