The CareFusion Foundation is accepting applications for grants up to $50,000 each for new or ongoing programs to improve infection prevention practices. The Foundation is specifically interested in programs that either help implement measurable clinical initiatives to improve infection prevention practices within a healthcare setting, or support hospital-led patient education or outreach related to infection prevention. Preference will be given to programs that demonstrate scalability and replicability. Successful programs will demonstrate a quantifiable impact on hospital readmissions, patient satisfaction scores, and clinical outcomes such as reduced infection rates. The deadline is December 14th and awards will be announced in spring 2013. Read more here.
