Broad PCORI Funding Cycle 2 Announced

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) has announced it will open its second cycle of opportunities on June 29, 2015 with Letters of Intent due July 29, 2015. A total of $76 million in Research Awards will be available in the following five Broad PCORI Funding priority areas:

  • Improving Methods for Conducting Patient-Centered Outcomes Research
  • Communication and Dissemination Research
  • Improving Healthcare Systems
  • Assessment of Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment Options; and
  • Addressing Disparities

Broad PCORI Funding Announcements (PFA) pursue investigator-initiated applications for patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) projects aligned with the priority areas listed above. Through this mechanism, PCORI seeks the best and most innovative concepts that address actual needs of patients, caregivers, clinicians, and other healthcare stakeholders so that they make better personalized clinical decisions across a wide range of conditions, populations, and treatments.
