ACL Announces Funding for Falls Prevention
The Administration for Community Living (ACL) announced the availability of up to $4.4 million for evidence-based falls prevention programs. Funding will support the expansion of evidence-based community programs to reduce falls and falls risk for older adults, elders, and adults with disabilities at risk for falls.
All non-profit entities (including state and local governments, Indian tribal government and organizations, faith-based organizations, hospitals, and institutions of higher education) are eligible to apply.
ACL anticipates awarding up to 10 two-year state grant awards of approximately $400,000 each and up to 5 tribal grant awards of up to $100,000 each. Applications are due by July 8, 2014.
